CurrentResponsible for managing and overseeing the I.T., web and technical systems in all parts of the Group First Family, including Group First, Business First, Store First and Park First. This includes Head Office / 15 Storage centres / 6 Business centres and 5 Car parks.My responsibilities include:-Managing and supporting all aspects of I.T. within the groupMaintaining/purchasing and installation of I.T. equipmentManaging day to day running of the internal networks, wifi, and comms.Configuring the AVAYA phone system when changes are required or phones need to be added.Managing the domain names, cloud platforms, it's servers and backupsConfiguring Firewalls (Sonicwall/WatchGuard) / DNS / web (VMWare/Windows/Linux) & email serversPurchasing / Building / Installing and Maintaining servers and workstations across the GroupManaging the support ticket system, and delegating certain tasks to colleagues/contractorsImprove infrastructure and introduce new technologies to keep the business running smoothly.Delegating / Overseeing work done by IT contractors within the Group.Overseeing the running of the comms in remote offices/stores.Maintain and develop DB systems. (Filemaker / MySQL / Space Manager / SQL, ODBC)Setting up remote access systems for staff working remotely through secure VPNs....
