Profile bio

About Mark Hirselj

Over the years I have built up a diverse set of skills and qualities that have shaped me into a productive and effective Program Leader. I am a strong leader who always ensure the work I carry out is in line with strategic aims of the business. I have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills that allow me to effectively work up, down, and across the organization. Additionally, I can analyze and recommend best practices for my teams. In previous leadership roles I had a track record for delivering high quality projects on time, and for my ability to solve challenging problems quickly and effectively by analyzing data and information to achieve the best possible results. Program leaders cannot do everything themselves. In my opinion, their technical knowledge is not as important as their ability to learn, and their ability to be a leader. In my opinion, to be a leader, they need to capture the knowledge of their team of experts, professionals, and new personnel to make the products we produce. A leader needs respect to ensure differences in style, background, and perspective are leveraged and the contributions of others are acknowledged. A leader must collaborate up, down, across, and even outside the organization, to facilitate open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders. A program leader builds trust with the team by demonstrating follow through and accountability in all tasks. A leader will spur innovation by championing the best creative ideas, is rarely discouraged by failure, but adjusts lessons learned and continues to push new approaches to business solutions. And ultimately a leader has accountability. They own their teams’ actions and assumes the responsibility of themselves and others. They incorporate inputs from the team to design processes that will increase accountability and influence success for all.I have focused intensely on improving my knowledge, my experience, and my ability to bring immediate, sustainable value to my organizations, by managing chaos and delivering results on challenging and difficult programs. I don’t back away from a challenge, I get prepared for it. I want to be your next program manager. If selected for this opportunity, you will quickly see a positive return on your investment due to my hard-working nature, my never quit or back away from a challenge attitude, my commitment to learning, and my passion to make my teams better. Let's get together and talk about your organization over a coffee, in person, or over the phone.-Mark
