Worked as a self-employed business and IT project manager, following a career with major international management consulting firms. Major projects included: - Delivered change programmes to enable the Extended Schools agenda across 23,500 schools and 150 local authorities. I created and delivered a £100m programme to introduce new Parent Support Advisor roles in all schools across the UK. National lead for the development of the remodelling change process and toolkit that underpinned workforce reform, extended services change, and the targeted youth support toolkit. Implemented the disadvantage subsidy programme - £265m that funded out-of-school activities.- Project Manager of a process review for an investment bank to ensure that client funds and assets were protected in line with FSA regulations.- Programme Manager for a major programme of change to create a new operating model for service provision in local government - specifically, the technology, processes, and organizational changes required to establish a 'universal customer contact' structure.

Worked in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand:- Worked with ICI’s Vice President IT to identify and progress key opportunities for business performance improvement and to put in place a 3-year improvement plan with specific projects identified across lines of business. - Developed a European strategic business plan for Spring Business Mail, a global joint venture between Consignia, TNT, and Singapore Post. - I developed an eBusiness strategy with Britannia Building Society to set up a new eBusiness capability and initiate implementation projects.- Worked with ICI Americas in the United States to create a 10-year IT vision for the organization, and build a change programme for delivery.- Designed and led a series of innovation workshops with top managers of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, followed by business planning to specify the workstreams for agreed initiatives.- Worked with NatWest International Trade and Banking Services to develop an IT strategy that was part of a £30m business process redesign programme. I structured the programme of implementation over a two-year period and initiated "quick hit" projects to deliver early benefits.
