About Mark Holgate
I've been a journalist for more than 23 years and throughout my career I have had many and varied roles (not always in the media). That said, most have related to my passion for writing and websites, some combining these two elements, while others couldn't have been further away from each other - all in all plenty of life experience along the way though.Working in the media since 1994, in one form or another, with experience as a full time and freelance journalist, newspaper editor, and sports editor, having written for North Shore Times, Parramatta Advertiser, Blacktown Advocate, Mt Druitt Standard, Penrith Press, Which Car? Magazine, Street Machine Magazine, People Magazine, Auto Action, and Motorsport News and Local Life magazine and various specialist publications. Am the managing editor of Exhaust Notes Australia (living the car lover's dream).Add 13 years helping businesses by designing and developing websites, and then helping them market their website and grow their brand via their online presence, including social media into that mix via my own business. Gained experience in website design and development (CSS, HTML, FLASH, PERL, JAVASCRIPT) along the way, as well as plenty of SEO knowledge.Love my family, it's what motivates me to achieve at both a professional and personal level. Like keeping fit, cycling and running.
