I served as a project engineer responsible for establishing and maintaining repair part ordering data, developing technical responses to manufacturing deficiencies, and liaison work between departments when addressing customer support needs.

Teaching mechanical engineering students the basics of shop skills as well as working for professors and senior mechanical engineers on their capstone design projects. Use a variety of machines including both manual and CNC lathe and milling machine.

Worked as a Cadd operator during the summer and on Christmas breaks. Originally brought on as a 3D drafter for a special process piping job in order to facilitate design work by creating a 3D model. In subsequent summers responsible for standard drafting for process piping and HVAC. I had the privilege to work on various process piping layouts for a Goodyear tire extruder in the summer of 2008.

Tinnerman Wilderness Canoe Base - Ontario, Canada

Tinnerman Canoe Base was the high adventure base run by the Greater Cleveland Council (GCC) of the Boy Scouts of America serving all U.S. based Boy Scout troops. The base was located on the French River in Ontario, Canada having been donated to the GCC in 1962 by the Tinnerman family. During my time there, I lead crews of approximately 10 souls, boys and leaders, an average of 50 miles in the course of 7 days. It was a challenging role where I was responsible for the safety and well being of the crew in remote wilderness conditions where medevac was only periodically possible. Over the course of the week, it was my responsibility to guide the crew safely along the route they had planned helping them to grow in their canoeing skills and woodcraft. As the crews requested I also aided them in completing merit badges pertaining to their trip. It was a job I will never forget for the many persons, experiences, and wonders I encountered in true wilderness conditions.
