I prepared legal memorandum on guideline factors for courtroom safety accounting for defendant’s due process privileges. I gained insight into judicial decision-making. I communicated with attorneys and analyzed effective lawyering.

I worked directly with clients in Spanish and English doing intake and providing case management. I appeared in the Small Claims Courts as an advocate for defendants being sued by third party debt buyers. I attended firm-wide trainings and practice area specific meetings. I drafted responses to requests for discovery, financial hardship waivers, and identity theft/fraud requests for dismissal. I wrote memos and contributed to an appellate brief. I completed Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions for clients through much investigation. I evaluated criminal records and prepared requests for arrest and conviction expungement. I developed my client interviewing skills and my knowledge base within different practice areas.

Centro Hispano is a non-profit that provides programs and services in support of the Latin population in Dane County. I was responsible for making new connections with business leaders, while strengthening ties with current business partners in order to create opportunities for Latin high school students to further develop their professional skills.

I was responsible of the building and surrounding fields while overseeing staff and assisting patrons with questions and concerns. I implemented creative thinking while problem-solving to resolve numerous situations each shift.

I was responsible for the success of an English as a Second Language program by creating personalized lessons to my students in order to improve the skills and abilities of the adult language learners.
