In my 7 years (In December) at Cognizant I have worked for two groups. The First group I was brought over from IBM as a senior leader to help develop Cognizant Professional consulting practice for infrastructure. When I started I was the second person within the group and it was our responsibility to generate our mission statement, group direction, group artifacts, and develop a service called ISPA (Information services portfolio analysis). Initially this was a free service, so Cognizant could penetrate existing customer accounts and do an end-to-end IT analysis of their corporation IT department including People, Process, Technology, and Financial. Lastly, it was my responsibility to generate Consulting projects via RFP response or working with our partners, Vertical leads, and existing customers. While in the department for 4 years we grew from 2 people to over150+, and generated gross income of over 650K per individual.
