Mark Isfeld has 30 years experience in communications system design, including several groundbreaking systems. After starting a working X3T9.5 group on Bridging, Mr. Isfeld architected and led the team that built the first compact, cost effective FDDI to Ethernet Bridge/Router. This product (3Com Netbuilder II) shipped for 8 years (90's) and generated $100M a year in direct revenue.Mr. Isfeld architected and led the development of a 144 port 10 Gigabit switch. The highest capacity switch of its time (2007) in 1/2 the space of its nearest competition, the switch garnered strong support among leading Data and Supercomputer Centers.Mr. Isfeld provides strong leadership of technical teams and typically completes one or more design tasks as the product is developed. Examples include ASIC design, complex FPGA design, board design, system and ASIC verification, driver design, and test software, in addition to project scheduling and management functions.Most recently Mr. Isfeld honed his board design skills as lead design engineer for a Fabric and Management Card.
