About Mark Trapp
Test professional specialising in testing financial services systems. 20+ years experience of system and user acceptance testing (with a little integration testing and automated experience thrown in).I don't like the rigid kind of testing practised by many these days. I like to get a feel for the system and create test cases with a bit of imagination and in doing so, do my best to break the system within the confines of the requirements. I believe a successful Test Analyst should always be thinking 'Well what if I do this...' I enjoy a friendly rivalry with developers and have been known to turn a few smiles to frowns, but I'm not judgemental and just want to help deliver a system that's as bug free as possible.I've been breaking things since I was a child and now I'm making a career of it. Every project brings new challenges and it's fair to say I love my job.What does the future hold? Looking to continue in a Senior Tester/Test Leads role.
