Mark brings broad experience and knowledge to the Sun Life Sales team, having previously provided regulatory consulting and operations management for the investments division, to quantitative modelling for large insurance cases in a quasi-actuarial role. More recently, he was Head of Canadian Pricing Strategy at TransUnion (one of Canada’s two credit bureaus), but returned to Sun Life in 2020 so he could continue to serve his passion of educating and inspiring Canadians to lifelong financial security. He rejoined Sun Life as the Director of Professional Insights on the Sun Life Consulting team, where he created Excel tools for complex insurance strategies, delivered over 200 keynote presentations to more than 10,000 advisors across Canada, and served as lead author for Sun Life’s two thought leadership series; “Rethink” and “Competitive Edge”. Mark has completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier, a Master of Finance at Queen’s University, and is a CFA Charterholder. He is currently working toward the CLU designation. He’s a member of the CFA Society of Toronto and an associate member of CALU. Born and raised in England, he will likely always sound like a limey, but proudly admits he is now more Canadian than British, having lived on Canadian soil for more than 20 years. Mark volunteers for a local charity that is close to his heart, Sports for Special Athletes, where he serves as both Blastball coach and Corporate Sponsorship Lead.
