A collective voice for the superyacht industry, tasked with ensuring the industry received the recognition it deserved after many years of being tarnished by scandalous media coverage. I led an industry-wide transformation from being secretive to open, from being ashamed of the extravagance to being proud of the craftsmanship. I advised the industry on global messaging and developed a multi-channel campaign that exemplified the positive aspects of the industry. Crisis communication guidelines and press outreach rounded out the work, along with reporting on key topics such as sustainability. I spoke at conferences and wrote columns for industry media. Along with The Superyacht Life Foundation, I worked across two other non-profits in the superyacht industry: Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) and Water Revolution Foundation. I refocused and revitalised both organisations’ communications strategies, including designing new websites and developing supporting collateral.

I was brought in on a four-month contract to help the organisation transition to a digital-ready membership body that delivered real value to its members. I developed a digital communication strategy and worked closely with senior management to create an improved online presence befitting the membership body for the world’s humblest superheroes.
