Optimization and business improvements for all high value products. Work with trading division for best supply options for the east coast operations and expansion of operating area and products. Support and vacation relief for Mogas analyst in developing AOP and month 2-4 plan using LP planning tools(PETRO). Trained and also do vacation relief for Gasoline and Distillate operation coordinators. Improve blend scheduling tools (Aspen MBO) for better scheduling and minimizing giveaway. Helping implement scheduling tool(Aspen APS) for a bridge between PETRO and MBO. Working on Tier 3 gasoline project team as planning support for evaluation of best project for Pascagoula to under take to meet new regulations. Continue to work with gasoline operations coordinator to reduce octane and volatility giveaway to maintain best performance in the system. Also, continue to improve gasoline grade split to a more economic split. Evaluate and improve distillate products produced to expand sales opportunities for the refinery

Support and improve blending software and processes for all Chevron refineries, mostly for finished gasoline both wholly owned and joint venture refineries. Lead support person during expansion and stabilization of new blend software implementation.Worked closely with blend schedulers in Hawaii, Salt Lake City, Cape Town and Burnaby to expand gasoline blending software into distillates. Coordinated successful reduction of blend cost and created better gasoline product split across all sites.Key member of cross functional team for blending improvements and refinery cost reduction and performance improvements that created significant value for corporation leading to top award for Chevron..

Finished product blending for all high value product streams. Implemented MBO blending software. Using new software was able to reduce blending costs by one million dollars a month in the first six months. Worked on expansion of Burnaby products into Pacific Northwest allowing for a better coverage of the west coast among the Chevron supply chain. Successfully maintained supply of Burnaby production without product runout for a year during numerous unplanned shutdowns.

Laboratory equipment maintenance and calibrations including GC's and octane engines. Set up and maintane all new test methods. Quality control testing for product release and environmental compliance water testing. Setup NIR modeling and conducted refinery troubleshooting testing.
