In my role as Managing Director – UK and Australia at CDS Global, I am responsible for the UK and Australian operating companies within the group.My job entails leading a talented team of individuals to ensure we consistently provide an excellent service to our clients and develop new technology products and services to support their ever-changing needs. I spend much of my time with our clients, as well as developing new business opportunities as we continue to grow the business within the publishing sector and also enter into other vertical markets. When I am not doing this I like to spend time with our various teams at our sites in the UK and Australia, to grow our talent and further evolve our culture.The impact of technological change on consumer habits is of particular interest to me, as we continue to optimise our solutions and adapt our business, in what are increasingly complex trading conditions. As Commercial Director I was responsible for the B2B division of our publishing clients, managing 40 clients with annual revenues in excess of £5m and leading a team of 25. I developed strategic partnerships with our clients to help develop their businesses and identify new solutions we could deploy to support them. I also led our sales and marketing function with responsibility for business development and marketing planning and deployment, driving new publishing opportunities and also our expansion into other sectors. I was instrumental in the integration of our document management (scanning) facility, which prior to that was a separate operating company and for a two-year period I also run the function.I was a member of the UK Executive Team, sitting on the operating board of the UK business, providing input and guidance on our strategy and business operations. I was also frequently involved in international projects, as we looked to globalise the business further.

Responsibility for marketing external suppliers including mailing houses, subscription bureau and telemarketing agencies.I also worked in close collaboration with colleagues across continental Europe in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives.
