Together with my wife, my current primary focus is leveraging my nearly 20 years of experience as a construction management professional and business operations manager, to deliver housing solutions for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Inspired by our son with Down syndrome, we are aligning our personal passions with our professional expertise to provide the dignity of choice in housing. I'm an experienced, multi-faceted construction project manager with a diversified range of experience in historic renovations, healthcare, museums, higher education and K-12, tenant improvements, senior living, multi-family, and single family homes. My education coupled with my work experience gives me a comprehensive understanding of the principles associated with real estate design, construction, and planning.I have a bachelor's of design degree from the University of Florida, with a major in architecture and have completed the FMI Project Manager Academy in Raleigh, NC. I'm also a LEED accredited professional with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and a certified Lead Renovator with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. My expertise and passions includes starting and growing successful businesses and overseeing the design and construction of commercial and residential projects. I have extensive experience in managing budgets, profitability and cost controls, safety and quality controls, scheduling, scope review and subcontracting, purchasing, change management, procurement, billings and payments, managing the submittal review process, record keeping and document controls, project close-out documentation, and managing client relations. My past experience also includes working with a consulting firm that provides forensic engineering and expert testimony or opinion to the legal and insurance industry.
