I am a practical and results-oriented management side labor and employment attorney who, through my varied professional experiences and breadth of knowledge in the field of employment law, seeks to provide his clients with the type of advice and representation they need to effectively operate their business. My bottom-line approach to helping to solve labor and employment problems comes in part from having ten years of experience as a Human Resource Manager for what was a Fortune 100 manufacturing company. In that role, I was a client of law firms. This experience sensitized me to all those lawyer habits clients hate. I have a deep interest in and have invested significant amounts of my own time to learn as much as I can about my clients’ businesses so I can become a trusted counselor. Particular areas of interest are in NextGen manufacturing, healthcare and the travel and leisure industries. I try to provide employers with advice and counsel in a manner designed to help them stay out of court. When litigation is necessary, I am supported by a team of attorneys at all levels of experience, paralegals and Electronic Discovery support staff. Together we strive to provide aggressive and cost effective results for our clients. My range of labor & employment law experience includes work in all of the anti-discrimination statutes and all other employment laws; union avoidance, collective bargaining and matters before the National Labor Relations Board; negotiation and preparation of executive employment agreements; OSHA and, conducting internal investigations. I regularly provide clients with entertaining in-house training on all of the above-mentioned workplace issues, always with the goal of seeking compliance and avoiding litigation.In my off time, love to travel with my family, sample wines, beers and exotic cheeses and read about American history. In my next life, I hope to become a political commentator on TV- neutral and objective.
