During the past eight years, I have led engineering projects up to $2.2 million in project costs for various areas of the mill. Prior to this, I held supervisory and process engineering positions in the maintenance & operating departments from 1976 - 2007.Although a mechanical engineer by degree, I lead projects which includes all engineering disciplines including electrical, instrumentation, structural etc.I am a registered professional engineer in the state of South Carolina.

I coordinated the activities of various vendors in the construction of a large lime kiln for Kapstone Paper Company. Worked with large and small contractors to review design drawings, coordinate approvals through the equipment owner, oversee construction practices, assist in startup operations etc. This was an approximate 2 year project.

Led numerous operations departments including Woodyard, Chemical Production, and Pulp Mill during the stated period. Supervised over 60 departmental union employees in efforts to make paper production goals, plan equipment outages, troubleshoot operating problems, maintain budgets, oversee departmental projects and resolve personnel issues.
