I have been around my grandma's diner all my life. Her and my mom have worked hard for over 25 years to mold the business into a successful one.Throughout my adolescence, I worked at Rea's almost every weekend. I did whatever needed to be done and my responsibilities continually increased.The interpersonal skills, business knowledge, and hard-working.

At 18, it was time for another set of duties. I was sent to the kitchen and trained as a line cook. I had never worked in the kitchen, so it provided a new set of challenges.I toasted bread, buttered toast, assembled sandwiches, cracked eggs, retrieved items for the other cooks, and assisted with food preparation.My biggest takeaway from that position was.

Once I turned 16, I was given more duties. Since Rea's was a small business with a small staff, I still did everything from my busser position, but now I was trusted to do more.I was trained on how to be a cashier. My new duties included totaling checks, delivering checks to the customers, and cashing customers out.That position helped my conversational.

My first position at Rea's as a young teenager was as a busser. Every Saturday & Sunday, I woke up at 6 AM and went to work with my mom and grandma.Before we opened, I prepared the dining room for customers. I made coffee filters, filled water pitchers, and pulled necessary items from the freezer.Throughout the day, I cleared dishes, sanitized tables.
