As a member of the Board of T-Systems Ltd, I am responsible for the performance and growth of the IT Services Business in the UK. I have ultimate accountability for the Delivery of Service to all our Corporate Enterprise Customers in the United Kingdom, whilst ensuring profitability and growth by driving forward adoption of our Global Cloud Services & Platforms to UK Customers. At UUNET I built and ran a team of Sybase DBA's that ran production billing, mediation and management systems for the UUNET IP Network on SUN UNIX Systems.

Joining PIPEX as a graduate, I began my career as a Sun Solaris System Administrator for the Public IP Exchange in the UK (PIPEX), the first Internet Service Providor in the country. Over the years I developed a wealth of experience in the design, implementation and operation of industrial scale internet services using Sun solutions, including Email, Web, DNS, FTP, SMTP, NNTP & NTP for several million subscribers. I developed a particular specialism in the design and implementation of UNIX Infrastructure to support Operational Databases using technologies such as Sybase and Oracle, and eventually formed a seperate team to focus on developing infrastructure to support billing and mediation platforms for the internet business. During this period I gained Sun 2 Certification, Sybase DBA System 11 ASE Certification, and trained as an Oracle 8 DBA.
