I work to improve the lives of children and the professionals who work with them. I enjoy collaborating with others to create new positive ventures. By identifying opportunities and talent I create and lead successful teams. I apply psychology and innovative educational theories and practices to support organisational growth and change. I co-founded Real Group in 2004 which is a successful enterprise making a social impact. Our employees, contractors and partners make up an innovative network of talented and expert people. Our purpose is to promote learning and development for all regardless of geographic boundaries. We use our strengths in creativity, application of psychological knowledge and business skills to make it happen. Real Group trades as Real Training, Real Psychology and Real e-Learning. I am the Managing Director. I co-founded the Nurture Group Network (now NurtureUK) which has supported the creation of nurturing schools and over 1000 excellent quality early intervention nurturing groups for children and young people across the UK. I co-founded my first venture over twenty years ago. WECAN Training was a charity based in Woolwich which helped people back into work or training. It was based on a successful model running in Peckham. I was the first chair of trustees and the charity made a difference to local people by working in partnership with Greenwich Council and the European Social Fund. I am an experienced public speaker, academic, researcher and Educational Psychologist.
