After a time our family acquired a number of hotels which took us to Maitland (NSW) to Nelson Bay (NSW) back to Bundaberg and then arriving back at Nelson Bay as a teenager where we eventfully settled. From a young age I was involved in the day to day runnings of our family business assisting my father whenever I could. I gained firsthand experience in the duties and procedures involved in the Hotel business. By the time I was 18 and just out of school I took on more and more responsibility and eventually the role of assistant manager. The next couple of years were prosperous then my father decided to sell and move back to the Gold Coast.After a short break and getting settled on the Gold Coast it was time to get the family back into business so then started my business career. Give we were from a hospitality and service background Management Rights seemed a good fit and over the course of the next 10 years we bought and sold a number of Management Rights as well as owned and operated a very successful Duty Free business.These roles have given me valuable life experience and the ability to adapt over the years. I have learnt that being thrown in the deep end is not always a bad thing it tends to push you to dig deep and come out on top.
