I was a Senior Designer at Modine with 9 years in Automotive and 3 years in Trucking. I completed my projects using Catia V4 and Catia V5. Through creative thinking and teamwork with Engineers, we were able to win orders with new customers such as Polaris, Nissan and more. Most projects I worked on had complex castings and plastic parts. I also worked on Packaging studies for new concepts in both Automotive and Truck applications. Most projects needed quick turn around timing and we were able to meet deadlines.The main products I worked on at Modine were:Radiators • Air Conditioning Condensers • Transmission Oil Coolers • Modules • Fan Assemblies • Plastic Fan Shrouds • Sheet Metal Channels • Frame Components • Bottles • Brackets • Fittings • Seals • Engine Oil Coolers • Plastic Structural Members • Tube Routings.

During my time as an Automotive Designer with ETG, I worked on Engine Oil Coolers for Ford and Chrysler. My team and I also worked on a Cooling Module for a Dodge Durango. We came up with and fine tuned 4 viable concepts that met customer requirements and also reduced the weight and cost. Vehicle packaging was a requirement for my position and I came up with many creative packaging designs that in the end won the business against 3 different competitors. The concept we came up with was better performing and lighter than the other competitor designs.

During my time with CTG, I was the lead designer on a state of the art Hydraulic Suspension System used in an Automotive application. My team and I were able to reduce the cost by 65% which was a huge accomplishment. I also traveled to Detroit to work with the lead Engineer at Chrysler to overcome the final hurdle with this project, which was the packaging. We came up with a new design that fit within the alotted space while staying within budget. This project required quick model turnaround timing and we were able to complete it by the deadline.

My primary duties centered around the design of sheet metal and structural components. This position required the Layout of small intrictate mechanism's used on Leak Testing Machinery. Typical items worked on were Gear and Drive Assemblies, Frame Weldments, Brackets, Cam Followers, Hydraulic Piping, Cylinders, Limit Switch Assemblies & Electrical Box Layout.The products that these items were used on were Bottle Testing Machinery (In Line & Rotary) & Casting & Bottle Leak Test Fixture Plate Assemblies.
