Working to enhance PRISM's mission of providing dignified services that contribute to building healthy, stable lives across the Twin Cities Metro through coordinating/supporting various food and housing programs including:Marketplace Food Shelf- Collaborating with staff and leading volunteers to supply food, household items, and personal hygiene products to 130-200 families daily. Fresh Produce Distributions:- Coordinating and leading produce distribution events where community members can drive up and receive fruits and vegetables free of charge for themselves and their families. - Leading large groups of volunteers to ensure efficient and safe distribution of food.Farmers Market SNAP Program:- Coordinating the distribution and reimbursement of all Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits at Market in the Valley - Golden Valley Farmers Market and Lakeview Terrace Farmers Market. - Creating and maintaining relationships with market leaders and vendors.- Working with outside agencies to bring additional food assistance programs to the markets, including MN Market Bucks, GusNIP Produce Bucks, and the Power of Produce incentive program.- Collaborating to bring additional community resources to the markets to create a space that is welcoming and supportive to all community members.
