Manage development and manufacturing team for commercial vehicle emissions products, specializing in urea mixing devices. Direct and coordinate global activities for developing strategic emissions products for global use in the commercial vehicle market. Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to define standards to be used for design, testing, quality, communication, and process functions. Develop statements of work for customers including definition of engineering development and testing budget, program timing, program RASIC, scope of work, product performance requirements, and risk mitigation plan.

Work with Commercial Vehicle Emissions acquisition team to generate engineering cost and timing for new emissions products. Receive customer request and generate bill of materials, testing and validation required (DVP), analysis required (CFD/FEA), resources needed, and generate engineering documentation for the program management system. Perform feasibility analysis and manufacturing reviews in the acquisition phase to seek solutions to problems early in the program. Also work with Commercial Vehicle Engineering Team to provide assistance in peak workload times. This involves submitting internal work requests, researching manufacturing issues, oversee DV/PV testing, submit and assist with prototype builds and CAE, and assist other lead engineers with upcoming gate review requirements. Other tasks included researching process improvements to increase throughput of engineering, work with manufacturing on new techniques, creating resource planning tools to reduce time to generate quotes and assist with workload leveling, as well as design specifications, continuous improvement, failure analysis, PPAP/APQP, project management, root cause analysis, tolerance stack-up analysis, technical documentation, and statistical analysis.

Program Development Leader for diesel aftertreatment applications for commercial vehicles. Manage all engineering activities including design, testing and validation, manufacturing support, prototypes, supplier and customer communications.

Design and develop speaker systems for Toyota and Lexus vehicles under brands names JBL and Mark Levinson. Specialized in subwoofer enclosure design. Developed products from concept to launch including 2D/3D CAD design on Catia V5, FEA simulation on Ansys, fixture design, SLS rapid prototyping, prototype development, and quality inspections. Received Lightning Bolt Award for eliminating the need for prototypes through FEA.

Designed and developed headlamp assemblies for Chrysler and Toyota vehicles. Collaborated design with optics department for meeting NHTSA specifications. Led feasibility of headlamp design through launch. Traveled overseas to develop headlamps with customer on-site. Collaborated with European design team on headlamp design methodology using Catia V5. Led efforts to utilize China design center for additional design resource. Developed tools for Catia V5 to aid in headlamp design using visual basic.
