Due to success and professionalism during 3 Months as Supervisor, I was promoted to Store Manager. Brought to the store new standards in merchandising, testing of products, training of staff, operations report standards, eCommerce sales, new customers (memberships) as well as sales and buys. Worked along side the Zex and Cex Area and Operations Managers to ensure that our store was matching the companies expectations. Also grew much deeper understanding of Human Resources department and expectations. During this time Game (formerly GameStation and Electronics Boutique) started an offensive attack on our business by opening their flagship Gametronics store next door to ours. Our continued excellence has meant that this has had no impact on our business.

Hired and taken on as Management (Supervisor/Assistant Manager) due to previous experience with the company and professionalism and results from other JobWas after a few days in this role, running the store as the Manager was on a 18 day Holiday, and the Supervisor was on Paternity leave. Was ensuring daily Banking, refunds and customer complaints were all dealt with, as were transfers of stock in and out of the store, stock counts and many other responsibility such as Rota's. High pressure and even quicker paced than before, a new franchise owned and ran the store (Zex Yorkshire) who were much more thorough in their organisation and support structure.

Taught individuals and groups of people on how to use a Mac, iPad and iPhone and software. Dealt with individual needs and requirements for each problem.

Second member of Staff hired for the opening of one of the first Franchised stores of Cex. Initially taken on as part time but very quickly was working full time hours due to success of myself in the role, and the business. Cex trades in and sells items such as CD's, DVD's, Blu-Ray's, Computer Games, Computer Games consoles, Mobile phones, Tablets, Laptops and other electrical items- All from customers who register their information with the company for free. We adhere to Data Protection procedures and we offer a 12 Month warranty. There was little expectation but we were very soon off to a flying start and very successful. The franchisee also opened a store in Wakefield as well.

Lincolnshire Co-Op has a Memberships and Community division who put on local events for members of the public, schools and their members. The mascot for their kids division is Kool Kat, a +6 foot tall cat wearing sunglasses and a backwards baseball cap. This role was lots of fun, i would go to different events all around Lincolnshire and perform, in very warm temperatures, as Kool Kat. I met members of Royalty (at the Lincolnshire Show), i performed in football stadiums at mascot races. I shook thousands of hands and had my tail pulled many times. The role was somewhat seasonal, I would be informed months in advance if there was an event, and would work my job at Cex around that.
