    Founder
Carbon Collectible Nfts Sep 2021 - Present
Today, low-income forestry communities, that have a mature forest, are excluded from selling traditional carbon offsets. Traditional intermediaries regard their carbon sequestration as “business-as-usual” rather than “Additional”. As a consequence, some low-income communities resort to deforestation, and starting bushfires, to convert their forest land into farmland, so they can feed their families. The mission of Carbon Collectible NFTs is to enable low-income communities to use NFTs to monetize their mature forest. Each NFT is a customizable avatar and also includes 5 Web3 carbon offsets as well as gaming and metaverse rights. The waitlist is now open for the first 2,000 NFTs.Our SatNav App uses satellite imagery, machine learning and AI to eliminate centralized intermediaries who are exclusive and unaffordable. Our App empowers NFT owners to use satellite navigation to zoom in and view their assigned block of forestry. This remote visibility of dedicated tree cover gives NFT owners enhanced provenance and transparency. The SatNav App also geolocates rare sites of interest in the forest, such as waterfalls and caves, then calculates the proximity of these rare sites to an NFT’s dedicated block of forestry. This adds physical rarity to the NFTs.The Avatime Forestry community, in the Volta Region of Ghana, is the first beneficiary of these mixed reality NFTs. They receive 65% of the proceeds from the NFT sale – 15% for forest management and 50% through a social innovation studio. This social innovation studio leverages Web3 innovations to help local entrepreneurs reimagine sustainable and profitable solutions to legacy challenges. The ultimate goal is to leverage Web3 to reduce deforestation and increase local entrepreneurship, jobs, alternative livelihoods and economic growth.
