IT Digital Services Management, Cell Therapy Development defines the technical delivery strategy and leads a team of internal and external resources to support and deliver cross-functional solutions for Cell Therapy Development (CTD). The role will provide technical and domain expertise; will be accountable for delivery of technical solutions and be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing simple yet scalable innovative technical solutions to meet cross-functional business demands using a consistent process.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the Washington Research Center computing and information technology resources in order to support outstanding biomedical research directed towards significant human health issues and nonhuman health and biology. The Information Technology Directors’ role is to plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the Information Technology departments, as well as provide direction and support for Information Technology solutions that enhance mission-critical research operations. The Information Technology Director will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology and financial solutions for all aspects of the organization.

•Hands-on Manager of Information Services/Technology departments. • Worked with the Finance Department to forecasting/budgeting.•Implemented improvements to the server room including the installation of new servers, Sans, Disaster Recovery hardware, wiring, Cisco network switches, Commvault/Veritas backup software and Cisco routers.•Personally maintained/managed IIS, SQL, TCP/IP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, Checkpoint Firewall, Dell|EMC CX400 SAN, DAS, NAS, Apple OS 10.x, Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Pix, VoIP Systems, ActiveVoice Server.•Responsible for all aspects of running two separate VOIP/IP and a Digital phone systems at three separate locations. In addition I was responsible for all wireless devices, including both Blackberry and iPhone technology.•Managed/Configured/Maintained office services equipment, including phone systems, Audio/Visual equipment, B&W Copier and Color Copier systems.
