RECUR is a dominant startup in the Web3 NFT space. When I first joined the company I was leading a team focused on delivering and innovating on custom Web3 experiences that gave our clients full end to end control over their NFT ecosystem from the creation, packaging, initial sales, secondary market, gamification, withdrawals and deposits with multiple external wallets and more. My team was developing the core functionality and user experience within this application as well as the backend infrastructure and APIs that supported it. As an Engineering Leader, I met weekly with the engineering leadership, held regular 1-on-1s with my direct reports, lead all of my teams additional ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, grooming, retros, etc), was the hiring manager and worked closely with UI/UX and Product to help drive the design, development and innovation around the product.

Overseeing all engineering related to Freeman’s virtual products, primarily OnlineEvent Pro and Fluent, the virtual event platform and chatbot/Alexa virtual assistant products respectively. Evaluated new products and partnerships to continue to grow the virtual event division at Freeman. Responsible for hiring, estimating, budget management, C-level interactions, and annual planning. Ran engineering teams adhering to agile methodologies made up of frontend, full stack, QA and devops teams and their individual managers. Coordinated with product, delivery, CX, design, in-person event teams, video streaming teams, in addition to client interactions to deliver seamless, uninterrupted service.

Leading a team of a 40+ on and offshore Developers, UI/UX Designers, Project Managers, Technical Writers, and Coordinators to design and develop modern, full-stack applications, products, and experiences. Projects include enterprise applications, websites, touchscreen activations, single page web apps, chatbots, Alexa skills and leading development and architecting a new virtual events web application platform developed in response to the pandemic. Responsible for all estimating, budgets, hiring, regular 1on1s with direct reports as well as leading the full teams bi-weekly ceremonies.OnlineEvent ProWith the pandemic shutting down all in person events, I led all development and directed the product roadmap for a new product for Freeman that delivered Virtual Live Events. The virtual experience was designed to supplement conferences, trade shows and product launch experiences. The application provided live streaming, education, networking, and sponsorship interactions. I was responsible for architecting and building the initial infrastructure which grew to a team of over 100 over the course of the pandemic. I lead and managed development and advised on the roadmap for the product. The development teams were split into smaller, nimble dev teams that innovated with new ideas and features. Each small team was responsible for delivering custom instances and features of this product per requirements for each client's unique event.

Fluent by FreemanArchitected, designed, and lead a team to develop this new product for Freeman, a powerful omni-channel chat and voice-powered solution designed specifically for live experiences. The product includes both the client facing dashboard and CMS where clients create their activation and manage all the content, and the activation itself which can be either an Alexa Skill, Chatbot, SMS Chatbot, SMS Push Notification and more. Worked directly with Clients to customize their activations and was continuously building out the roadmap for the product.

Lead full stack developer for the Digital Marketing Services division of Freeman. The projects I worked on ranged from full stack web applications and web sites to interactive touch screen experiences to chatbot and Alexa skill development.

Mark was an actor in Nickelodeon's first Broadway Musical, The Spongebob Musical, which played an out of town tryout at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago. Mark was featured in the ensemble of the show as Old Man Jenkins, the French Narrator, and also understudied the role of Squidward. The production was directed by Tina Landau and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

Mark was an original cast member of the four time Tony Award winning Broadway musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Directed by Darko Tresjnak with choreography by Peggy Hickey, Mark was in charge of maintaining the integrity and quality of the show on a day to bay basis, working with the company to help maintain the creative team's vision. He worked alongside the show's Production Stage Manager to train replacement actors giving them the staging, choreography and direction necessary to allow them to seamlessly step in to the award winning musical. Mark was also involved with promotional aspects of the show, helping to stage and direct a four minute version of the show that was filmed as a commercial and performed live all over the country.

Mark starred as Bert in the regional premiere of Disney's MARY POPPINS for Drayton Entertainment. He spent 3 months in Cambridge, Ontario at the Dunfield Theatre and 2 months in Grand Bend at the Huron Country Playhouse. In addition to his work on stage as Bert make did a lot of press interviews and appearances to help promote the production. The show was directed by Nigel West and featured choreography by Leigh Constantine.

Mark was in cast of the Original Broadway Company of A Christmas Story The Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Based on the movie of the same title, the show featured direction by John Rando and Choreography by Warren Carlyle. Mark played various roles in the ensemble and also understudied the show's star, Dan Lauria. Mark also worked in the capacity of Dance Captain for the show's appearance on the 2013 Tony Awards Ceremony broadcast live on CBS. Mark rehearsed and managed the performers for this very special appearance.

Mark was an off-stage Swing and Understudy in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Tony Award winning Broadway revival of Anything Goes at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. He understudied and performed the roles of Billy Crocker, Evelyn Oakleigh, Moonface Martin and the Captain in addition to every male role in the ensemble. The production was directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and starred Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney and Joel Grey as Moonface Martin.

Mark rejoined the Broadway company of the hit musical Mary Poppins. He understudied and frequently performed the role of Bert. Based on stories by P.L. Travers and the Oscar-winning 1964 Walt Disney film of the same title, this London import plays at the New Amsterdam Theatre on 42nd Street.

Mark played Mooney Mulligan, Thaddeus, the Hopeful Plugger and more in the New York City debut of The Tin Pan Alley Rag, Mark Saltzman's musical play about Irving Berlin and Scott Joplin. Produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company, the show will played the Laura Pels Theatre on West 46th Street. Directed by Stafford Arima, the show featured music by Berlin and Joplin with choroegraphy by Liza Genarro and musical direction by Michael Patrick Walker.

Mark is in rehearsals for the Off-Broadway production of Transport Group's new musical Being Audrey. With a jazz-infused score by Ellen Weiss and a provocative book by James Hindman, Being Audrey is an inspiring musical that combines different theatricalities for a breathtaking experience. Cheryl Stern stars in the central role, a woman whose obsession with Audrey Hepburn unexpectedly brings her face to face with the most difficult choice of her life. Directed by Jack Cummings III and choreographed by Scott Rink, this will be Mark's third production with Transport Group.

Mark performed the role of Him/Lenny in Paper Mill Playhouse's production of Romance Romance. Directed and choreographed by Mark S. Hoebee, the production also featured Jessica and Matt Bogart and Danette Holden in the cast with scenic and costume design by David Zinn.
