Since 2011, Increasing the environmental and economic sustainability of agriculture by improving spray processes through Application Insight, my primary company. AI is a contract research and development company that designs and evaluates fluid spray delivery systems and works to improve the analytical methodologies used to evaluate them. We also provide some of the most advanced and comprehensive training on the planet. This work focuses on precision placement, improvement in efficacy, and improvement of efficiency, with particular expertise in low and ultra-low volume delivery systems and three-dimensional canopy applications. Our focus is on pesticide delivery systems for fruits, vegetables, and wildland applications; we also work with grains and broadacre crops, dust & odour control, and wastewater evaporation systems.In 2020, Co-Authored of Airblast 101, the globally definitive text on air-assisted spray technology. Co-Founded Ledebuhr Industries in 1996, a Michigan State University Technology spinoff company known for Proptec rotary atomization systems and Accustaltic multiple channel peristaltic metering pumps. Grew it to profitability and market dominance in several sectors, left in 2011 realizing that the bigger prolems in improving spray application were not a lack of great hardware, but rather knowledge gaps, training gaps, and institutional disincentives. Needed to leave manufacturing to work on those things.
