(AKA SIAPO) - we are working to deliver the collective strategy and programmes for the Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) and Te Aka Whai Ora (Maori Health Authority), and ultimately the wider population of the South Island.

Projects: - A review of the services supported Ministry of Health's funding of Living Donor Renal Transplants in New Zealand. - Support for the Bay of Plenty DHB's Perioperative Improvement Programme with a focus on Elective Operating List Construction

This role was part of a company diversification and learning strategy. HHL Group is the largest NGO provider of in-home and community services in New Zealand and as such, has strong experience in innovation and delivery of high quality services within a successful and sustainable business model.The project was based around collaboration with a large partner organisation in China to design, develop and deploy a comprehensive range of products and services in support of the developing elderly and community services sector in the Peoples' Republic.Developments in Chinese Central Government policy and objectives introduced strong incentives for municipal and local governments, and the private sector, to work on developing services for the elderly in the community. The project focus was primarily on service and business model consultation, quality systems, workforce and training programme development and sales of a Chinese language client management system software to the developing community health sector.Key project outputs between 2014 and 2016 included completion of a quality audit of a large nursing home in NE China, development of a bespoke service model to support home and community services, and beta testing of a comprehensive on line assessment tool for the elderly.My role in the project was project lead, development and maintenance of key relationships at senior level in public and private sector levels in China. In that context, I was privileged to meet and work collegially with some of the highest level business entrepreneurs and leaders in China.Following a review of the company's overall strategy, the company decided to close all project activity in China in April, 2016.

Overall management responsibility for Christchurch Hospital. Reporting to the CEO of the District Health Board and responsible for an operational budget of $350M annually.The hospital has (had) 650 inpatient beds, 3,500 staff, and covered the full range of secondary and tertiary medical and surgical services and diagnostics.This position fronted the challenge of managing secondary and tertiary care in a constrained funding environment with increasing demand and expectations.I was proud to be a part of a highly effective clinical and management team - all passionate about providing the best health services and improving the complex systems that abound in a modern hospital.

Management of in-home healthcare and support services for HCNZ. Covering Invercargill in the South to Kapiti in the North. Client and funder relationship development and management, service innovation and development of best in class services were a real focus of the position.Largely funded by Government, the services needed to be the best value for money, achieving the expected outcomes for all of the stakeholders.
