Since completing my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Optics from Georgia Tech (1995), I have worked for large companies (Kimberly Clark & Bell Laboratories), smaller companies (Micron Optics), and a very small company (my own Keehi Technologies, Inc). I have been fortunate to have worn many hats in these companies. But running my own company for five years, through feast and famine, has given me a completely new perspective and respect for those who have the talent and willpower to keep pushing against the odds, taxes, overhead, etc. After seeing contract after contract go to low-bidders in China and India, I decided it was time to move up the food chain and take a running leap into the world of Patent Law. In 2008, I joined Sutherland Asbill and Brennan to become a Patent Agent. I spent 4 years at Sutherland honing my skills and working with a fantastic group of Patent Attorneys. In 2012, I was recruited for an ideal position at Troutman Sanders (now Troutman Pepper) in Atlanta. I'm fortunate to be working with a group of such bright, talented, competent, and hard working Patent Attorneys. Our clients recognize the high quality of our work, our responsiveness, and added value that we provide. It is common for our clients to transfer their entire patent portfolios to us after they see how we operate. I am currently looking to expand my client base and bring more business to the firm.
