I started as a sales advisor which involved me doing inbound/outbound sales calls, upgrade calls to policyholders, contacting policyholders regarding pending policies which had been take out online and needed to be checked for any exclusions. During this time I was one of the top sales advisors in the company and held the record for the biggest bonus ever received. I also achieved the most times a sales advisor had been awarded consultant of the week over a 12 month period. About 12 months into the role I moved over to a cancellation team as the opportunity to progress within the company outweighed staying in the sales department. During my time in this team my duties were helping understand policyholders issues and avoid cancellation of there policies, chase outstanding payments and liaise with finance team. In this role I held the record for the most policy saves in one month and pushed towards becoming a senior team member. Shortly after joining the cancellation team I was approached by the general manager and sales manager regarding a role within the marketing department as a affiliate account coordinator. My job was to do all my own lead generation and contact managing directors/decision makers about our affiliate program, explore how both companies could work together and get them to join the scheme. Once the companies had joined the scheme I would analyse the initial performance and look to set KPI's to help increase performance.
