Translation of the Political / Military Strategic requirement into the delivery of personnel on operations and specialist training tasks worldwide. Horizon scanning for future personnel requirements for emerging operations. Personnel support for the UK Counter Terrorist Strategy with particular reference to the PREVENT tenant. Portfolio de-confliction between competing personnel requirements within each single service, directing where necessary.

Command and management of the only Defence Aerial Delivery Squadron and the Defence Air Despatch Capability during one of the most demanding operational periods in recent history. Fulfilling continual operational requirements in Iraq and Afghanistan whilst also meeting UK Strategic Standby Commitments for Special Forces. Budgetary responsibility in excess of £2M and significant additional equipment held against the Defence ContingencyFund (>£1M). Career Management and Discipline of 160 Military personnel including the Territorial Army. Change Management and requirement specification / planning for the relocation of the capability and infrastructure to a new location. Successful MoD justification for the retention of specialist pay.

Desk officer responsible for the Joint Operations Command System (JOCS) at secret and above secret. Responsible for the programme to migration and rationalisation of existing single service C2 applications onto a single defence infrastructure, across all Lines of Development. Modelling of current C2 systems into a conceptual architectural framework. Financial planning and profiling of a £800M Programme. Working with industrial partners (Fujitsu, EDS, ATLAS, BAESystems).

Operational support to the planning, acquisition and implementation of the MoDs air, land and sea strategic movements. Responsible for de-conflicting the UKs strategic operational deployments with other NATO countries through the use of Information Technology. Line Manager for Tri-service personnel. Preparation of Key Target reports including efficiency and key work in progress registers. Operations Division submission to the Agency balanced scorecard. Management papers for Equal Opportunities and Civil Service absenteeism.
