I've been in the pubtech space (co-founder/CEO/board member) for almost two decades. I've also spent the same amount of time building a successful domain name investment and consulting business.I recently acquired The Independent Publishing Magazine ("TIPM"). TIPM was started in 2007 and it's an honor to help guide it into this new phase.In December 2023, I just 5+ years on the board of directors of DropCap, a company I co-founded in in 2018. DropCap's software platform helps book publishing companies in the US, Canada and the UK market, monetize and manage the translation rights for their titles. I was also CEO for 4+ years.From 2006-2016, I was CEO/Founder of Hillcrest Media Group, a book publishing technology company that grew from an idea I had rollerblading in 2006 to a 30-person business that published more than 11,000 titles. In 2016, I sold Hillcrest to Salem Media Group (NASDAQ: SALM). Over the 10 years, it was exciting to watch my company grow along with the entire self-publishing industry. It was as wonderful a business experience as I could ever hope to have, working with the kind of employee team that every employer hopes to have.In 2010, I started Domain Theory, which is a holding company for my domain name assets. Currently, the company owns about 7,000 along with several content and publishing related websites.From 1999-2009, I was the CEO/Founder of Click Industries, a company that provided online business filing services to entrepreneurs. Click was acquired in 2009 by LRCI.I'm always happy to talk book publishing or domain names.
