    I was hired in 2019 to lead Scotiabank's efforts to move from a traditional IT function to a modern global engineering organization. While maintaining my original role as VP of Technology Transformation, I also became the Global Head of Technology Business Management in 2020 and the Global Head of our ScotiaTech Engineering Hubs in 2021. As Global Head of ScotiaTech Engineering Hubs, I built and led "ScotiaTech", Scotiabank's collection of global engineering centers. Our first centre, in Bogotá, Colombia, was created in 2020, and now has 1000+ colleagues (and growing!). To make the ServiceNow-based portal accessible to people without a technology background, we conducted journey mapping to understand customer problems and make intuitive systems and tickets.
