The West Tennessee Industrial Association is a regional economic development association of electric power distributors of TVA power. Founded in 1956, the Association serves a multi-county region located between the Mississippi and Tennessee Rivers. Through the 60 year history of the association we have been provided resources to assist existing and new industries in order to increase employment opportunities, expand our tax base and grow the economy of the regionThis association provides a professional and consistent effort to help the rural communities prepare, compete and succeed in economic development endeavors and projects. Started Knoxville Workcamp, a week-long service project that brought in hundreds of teens to scrape and paint houses for lower income families.
