Mark Linderman is a twenty-year veteran of Public Health and instructs Disaster Preparedness courses for several universities, including the Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indiana University, Arkansas State University, and Western Carolina University.He also teaches Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication courses for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the field of disaster-based communication.Mark’s expertise in communications stems from his background in television production, and has been nominated for two Ohio-Valley Regional EMMY awards, and is the recipient of fifteen National Cable Television honors including several Telly awards. He continues to utilize his production and graphic design skills as a Limited Term Lecturer at the Purdue University Polytechnic Institute.As a hobby, Mark is a freelance journalist for magazines such as Recoil Off-Grid, Survivor’s Edge, Prepare Magazine, and Emergency Management Magazine. He is a widely requested public speaker and advocate for disaster preparedness, and channels his passion through his own blogsite, Disaster Initiatives, where he regularly interviews world-renowned survivalists, authors, academics, and government officials.
