Off School Grounds was officially founded in March 2020 by Dr. Dennis B. McKesey and Deneise McKesey at the start of the pandemic to create a virtual platform to support, mentor and coach school leaders. OSG provides a platform and fosters the development of innovative leadership practices allowing school leaders to exchange ideas and advance educational opportunities for children of color. Off School Grounds is committed to combat the educational inequity of marginalized students in urban communities by challenging school principals to be change agents and advocates for children.

WhyTry is a mission driven organization founded on the principles and skills of resilience and how we can help students can recognize their own resilience. As Director of Sales at WhyTry, I oversee our team of Program Directors on best practices of collaboration, implementation strategies, customer centric sales approach, and working to better the lives of those who partner with us. I also collaborate with our leadership team on how best to expand our reach into new communities and partnerships through online and in-person events. Through these collaborations I have been able to work with local, state, and national organizations and coalitions to have a bigger platform to share their best practices and influence educators around the country.

I work with schools, correction facilities, and community organizations to implement the WhyTry and Resilience for Youth programs. WhyTry provides educators with tools and strategies for their students to build or strengthen the skills of resilience in their lives. Whether it be inner city or rural, we have tools that help staff with more relevant resources to engage their students and help them find their own internal motivation.I have coordinated over 50 trainings a year and have overseen implementations with some of the biggest school districts in the country. I also get the amazing opportunity to work with some of the most resilient staff and students who are passionate about what they do and help change the lives of kids by helping them see their challenges differently and using those challenges as the fuel to help them in their lives.Some of the things I get to do are:-Sales from lead nurturing to close, including online demos and in-person meetings with high level organization staff-Strategize on how to help get staff buy in as well as effective implementations to help students engage with our materials-Present to large groups to give overview of our product at national and state level conferences-Account Management, program expansion-Multiple Presidents Clubs and leader in annual sales 2017-2022

I help manage the day-to-day operations, manage the customer support team, work with video editing and streaming, and do administrative responsibilities on the back end of our productions. I also help manage our clients who are streaming their content on our platform.

We do online webcasts for corporate communication, continuing education, and any other form of event.
