Mark is a Partner with PwC's Assurance practice with over 20 years of experience as an assurance professional working with large multinational companies. Mark currently is a partner in PwC's National Technical Office, advising teams on audit related matters. He builds strong collaborative relationships with his clients and helps them resolve complex issues to reach the best possible solution after considering their business objectives and the related accounting and regulatory reporting requirements. He has extensive experience serving multinational corporations in various industry sectors, including the Retail and Consumer sector and has led PwC's delivery of assurance practices and coordination of diverse teams having global reach and service capabilities.Relevant Experience• Engagement leader for several SEC registered clients, including a significant subsidiary of a Global 300 Company and led the PwC audit practice for the St Louis/NW Arkansas offices, which included includes a large public and private client portfolio and approximately 140 professional service staff.• Responsible for coordinating the initial audit of a US$18 billion consumer products manufacturer and marketer with significant global operations. Areas of focus on this engagement included preparing for SOX compliance, preparation of SEC and European offering documents, carve-out financial reporting, and organizational downsizing.• Served as a consultant in the US National Technical office, advising clients and engagement teams on the application of US GAAP in revenue recognition, business combinations, and asset impairments.• As a partner in PwC’s Global Accounting Consulting services in London, led the global IFRS Revenue Recognition Consulting group and was responsible for developing the PwC response to the IASB/FASB exposure draft on revenue recognition, including working with several different industries to develop their perspective on the Boards’ proposals
