After having worked for 27 years in several roles within the YME Information Systems Division I felt it was time for a change.In my IS roles I have always been 'close to the business' and supporting the business. It started with ERP implementations in seven European Countries and several other projects in the first 20 years. After that, during the past 7 years as Department Manager Business Analytics, together with my great team we provided reliable data for Business intelligence and Self Service reporting, next to support in the Business Planning area.Now it is time to being more of a 'user' of this data myself and support the RV & eBike business together with my new team!

During my carreer at Yamaha Motor Europe I have worked in several IT roles, always with a strong focus on the business. I started off as an ERP implementation Project Manager, and successfully implemented the Yamaha standardized ERP system based on BPCS in several countries. If there was no ERP implementation available at the time, I ran different kinds of projects like for example a Pan-European financial consolidation project (using Hyperion Financial Management) and during the past few years my focus was mainly on Business Planning, using IBM Cognos TM1 (Planning Analytics).Since January 2017 I have a new role as Business Analytics Lead, where the focus shifted to leading a Business Intelligence and Planning team consisting of 4-6 Yamaha and external staff. In this role I really am in the middle between ‘the business’ and IT. My strong point in this is my long experience and deep knowledge of the Yamaha business, the ERP and other systems, databases, data and users. The main job after starting in the new role was implementing and rolling out a complete new Pan-European data warehouse combined with the newest version of Cognos Analytics (BI Portal and reports) and new self-service BI end user tools (SSAS cubes with Excel Pivot). This appeared to be a very strong combination which is easily accepted (also thanks to training videos) by the international users.Next to that a new Planning tool was successfully rolled out to many users at the Yamaha Motor distributors in Europe.The ideal environment for me to thrive in is an internationally operating company with an open company culture. Other prerequisites are responsibility and room for personal development and deployment.
