A highly visible corporate pioneer and multi-industry thought leader, throughout my tenure I was tapped by CEOs to pilot the Company’s top turnaround, startup, and growth initiatives. A two-time recipient of the Chairman’s Leadership Award, I was named a Company Officer by then Chairman and CEO Jack Welch in 1999 and member of the Corporate Executive Council in 2006.I launched my career with GE in 1982 when I was selected to the Financial Management Program. Advancing to corporate-based Auditor roles, I relocated to Louisville, Kentucky and assumed the role of CFO-International, GE Appliance, followed by General Manager roles over Consumer Satisfaction and Retail Sales and Market Development. In 1996 I accepted a European assignment in the Netherlands as Director of Finance for GE Plastics, a $1B technology materials business. Two years later I moved to General Manager-Global Quality for GE Plastics, driving worldwide Six Sigma strategy. In 1998 I was selected by Jack Welch as Head of Investor Relations. In 2002 I was recruited by the CEO of NBC as New York-based EVP/CFO of the $6B media subsidiary. The next year I was selected by Jeff Immelt as EVP/CFO of a $20B division, GE Healthcare. In 2006, I was named President & CEO of GE Healthcare’s largest product/service business, Global Diagnostic Imaging ($8B in revenue). That same year I was appointed to the Corporate Executive Council. Three years later, I was tapped to establish a new region as President & CEO of GE Healthcare Americas. In 2010, I was hand-picked by CEO Jeff Immelt to regenerate a stalled global clean technology growth strategy, a role I held until 2013.
