I stumbled upon programming in my mid-teens with QBasic and was instantly drawn into the creative outlet, challenge, and triumph it provided. Taking a crazy idea in my mind and figuring out how to turn it into some digital creation was as addicting then as it is today.Entering the workforce, my software development journey has continued through numerous roles where I've had the chance to help build and deliver software solutions for various companies and projects - from infant startups to mega-corporations like McDonald's. I am a fullstack developer who has built desktop software, web backends, modern SPA clients, and cross-platform mobile apps. I have experience with Azure, Google Cloud, cloud automation, and security.I am keenly interested in the fundamentals of good software design and architecture and their impact on enabling high-quality, scalable products and teams. I am obsessed with simplicity and applying principles and patterns to tame complexity and create a positive and productive environment for my teammates. Serving in technical lead and staff developer roles, I routinely lay the foundation and heavily influence the team's technical direction. I enjoy driving impact across the team by establishing best practices and automation to maximize efficiency and consistency to streamline how remote teams work together.I'm not afraid to take calculated risks to break new ground in the face of ambiguity and the unknown. I get things done without sacrificing quality.
