During college I worked for an AV repair firm learning how to fix and maintain a variety of commercial audio and video equipment including video recorders, multi-track audio tape machines, TV's, video and film cameras and projectors. The technical troubleshooting and business skills I learned here very early in my career were invaluable to my future.

In high school and into my first year of college I was a sound technician setting up and operating live sound systems for rock bands. I got experience with 32 track sound mixing boards, PA set-up, microphone placement techniques and many other set-up and troubleshooting skills that would form the basis of my engineering interest in the sound and video.
