I played an integral role in establishing this EdTech startup, creating content and training materials for high school students to operate as tutors in math and literacy, targeting 8th grade through 12th grade-level “clients.”As part of this ongoing effort, I coach and mentor student tutors, working to develop leadership skills and teaching expertise while promoting diversity in the field and increasing excitement, passion, and commitment of students to become future teachers.Additionally, I meet with agencies, nonprofits, for profit corporations, superintendents, CEOs, and more to present value offering and negotiate formal agreements with schools across the US. I currently lead a cross-curriculum academic program for one of the largest community colleges in California while managing a newly established Education Department, heading a 20-member leadership team of faculty, staff, students, and administrators while defining strategic vision, communicating organizational values, and articulating program mission.In this capacity, I oversee aspects of site management, team building, scheduling, hardware and software development, and employee evaluations while scaling the program from 40 to 150+ team members. I also lead a group of administrators, supervisors, faculty, staff, and students in exploring unavoidable Pathways services for proactive and integrated student services as well as academic support services.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I facilitated fully remote education while incorporating Zoom meetings into a return-to-work/hybrid strategy; efforts received campus executive committee recognition and 90%+ student approval ratings.I have also served as Committee Chair for multiple programs while acting as a leader in Program Review, Strong Work Force, and Educational Master Planning.

In this role, I led a team in developing Mesa's and Miramar’s basic skills action plan and logic models.

While serving in this role, I also function as Practicum Adviser (2013-2017): Observed, evaluated, and provided oral and written critique of MATESOL practicum students; coached and mentored students on methodology, classroom affect, and materials preparation.

During this time, I was the San Diego and Imperial Valley Network Coordinator while managing the Learning Assistance Project for CA community college tutor coordinators. I also planned and executed an annual statewide conference, Tutor Expo, as well as regional conferences, campus visits, training, and consulting meetings with faculty, deans, VPs, and presidents.
