CurrentThis family business has meant a great deal to me, but it is time for me to change gears. I have never kept track of the hours I have spent working, but I am sure it is a career full.A big influence on my decision is of course that our son, Mario, is only 13yrs old, and Mike’s son and daughter are already well entrenched in the business. I said to myself from parenthood that the math does not work for me to stay on long enough for Mario to get his education and then join the business. It seems like not long ago I was the youngest one at the table. I now feel that I have shouldered, in my last 31yrs, a lot of problems, and I have spent a great deal of effort trying to solve those challenges. It was not always fun, but I am proud of the projects we have done, and I am satisfied with what I have accomplished. The timing is right for the company as well. Everything I learned is already in my partner, Michael’s head, so there is no experience lost. He, along with the new generation of Gabrielle and Mathew Marfoglia, and other core team members will push forward. They are a flexible and adaptable team, with a great future. Be aware, adapt, move forward – it has always been our way.I thank all our clients for the encouragement that they have given us over the years, the sub-contractors for their efforts, and I wish them all the best.
