As we work with small businesses, we often hear from the owners that they're looking for more from their accountant. They're looking for support and guidance to help them make financial decisions to run their business more efficiently and protect the asset that is often the most valuable asset they have. It's because small businesses are looking for more, that we modeled our advisory firm around proactive planning and guidance rather than just recording what happened in the past. We at Business Advisory and Accounting Partners recognize that small businesses need a partner that can help them understand proper tax planning, running their companies more efficiently and realizing a better return on the investment they make in their business. Prior to joining B.A.A.P., I served as a Commercial Banker for over 10 years. In that time I worked with a number of small businesses whose CPA's focused primarily on reducing taxes. While this is one strategy that can be employed, often this made it difficult for the company to secure financing or maximize their investment when they tried to monetize their business. The experience a business owner has with Business Advisory and Accounting Partners is much different than that of any other firm. We act as a financial sounding board for our clients, and we help our clients put tools in place to strategically and financially manage their business.
