About Mark Mccue

EHealth Application Support Analyst with over 15 years experience working with NHS applications and providing deployment/planning/training/support to users.Currently working with MiDIS, SCI Diabetes, ImageNow, ServiceNow, Adastra and Citrix systems. My new role means I will be heavily involved in our upcoming project with the deployment of the Cambric Systems: Morse to our base of over 3000 community staff to manage their patient information.I am also currently working my way through the Cyber Security Hons apprenticeship program at Glasgow Caledonian Univeristy. I felt the opportunity to do this course in conjunction with my workplace was too good an opportunity to miss. Although at times balancing work, study and family life is hard this will 100% help my development, bring new skills and knowledge to the workplace and maybe provide some new opportunities in the future. Security is incredibly important in the health sector and I believe this will be an area that will constantly require skilled individuals.

  • Nhs Lanarkshire
    Senior Application Support Analyst
Nhs Lanarkshire Mar 2019 - Present
South Lanarkshire, United Kingdom, United Kingdom
This will be an important role in an extensive project to replace an existing community patient care system (MiDIS) which has limited capabilities with a modern solution, providing a mobile working solution (Morse) and integration with other systems as key deliverables. There is commitment to ongoing development of the system to accommodate future requirements of both NHS Lanarkshire and other Scottish NHS organisations using the same system. I will have the opportunity to help shape its functionality and delivery to some 3500+ clinical users, directly contributing to the improvement of the quality of health care delivered to the population of Lanarkshire and beyond. In addition to involvement in the above project. My role is part of the wider NHSL applications team and I will have opportunities to extend my skills and knowledge across a wide variety of other systems both clinical and corporate. My position should offer me a new challenge whilst contributing innovation to the design and development of solutions to our clinical systems. As the role has grown I have been involved in a data migration of scanned health records to a more accessible system (ImageNow to SCI Store). ImageNow is no longer supported and is running on unsupported windows server versions. The migration has involved automating the extracts, combining millions of tiffs into over half a million pdf files, converting csv files to xml files, file compression and managed imports. We are now currently in the early stages of the change from MiDIS to Morse (Sept 19). I have to date been involved in helping to shape the data migration and early setup of Morse (systems administration and documentation). The project should be deployed early 2020 and will involve upscaling clinical sites to include Wi-Fi capability. Moving forward I am to be the lead Morse forms designer for NHSL and assist with all aspects of the rollout from training to systems admin.
