McCullers Sports Group LLC (MSG) is a multifaceted sports business management and consulting company founded by veteran industry executive Mark McCullers.MSG’s core competencies are sports owner/investor consulting and management support across all functional areas: finance, team operations, facility development and operations, commercial business development, brand strategy and technical/competition tactics, particularly in the sport of soccer. These key competencies are linked via a brand focused approach and a network of accordant skills to deliver maximum client value. MSG and affiliates provide associated expertise and technical advisory for sports related start ups, sports equity financing, sports facility design and construction, technology and other value-added sports business assets.MSG also has experience in large scale sports and entertainment event production and development. Responsible for all enterprise functions: strategic planning, business development, revenue, brand, marketing, event management, media relations, community relations and financial management. Key achievements include consecutive MLS Supporters Shields (league championship) in 2008 and 2009, 2008 MLS Cup Championship, acquisition of 2008 league MVP and 2008 MLS Cup MVP Guillermo Barros Schelotto. Construction and development of Crew Stadium, the first stadium designed and built specifically for a MLS team. Creation of Crew Soccer Academy professional player development system and Crew Juniors business unit. Creation of Rock on the Range, a top national, 3-day music festival. Development of two multi-million dollar club jersey partnerships.

Lead fifteen member board to create philanthropic areas of focus and execute strategies to fund core programs. Key achievements include Youth Referee Scholarship program, construction of three soccer field developments in under-served communities, revised governance structure and record fundraising results.

Final design and construction of the first MLS Soccer Specific Stadium. Created the organizational structure, launched the enterprise and navigated early years to a now iconic sports venue.

Responsible for facility operations including event development, production, in-house promotions and facility rental for RFK Memorial Stadium and the D.C. Armory. Home to NFL Washington Redskins until 1996. Hosted 1994 FIFA World Cup, 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games regional soccer venue, produced multiple major concert events.

Responsible for all company financial activity including budgets, billing, personnel and generation of periodic financial reports.

Marketing and sales of IBM business computers and related software products.
