To my LinkedIn community, Little did I know 45 years ago when I showed up as a college freshman that this would be my only job and indeed define my career. Fort Wayne Metals is an amazing place and I feel blessed to have been a part of its history for almost half a century.A few years back we identified continuity of leadership as a concern for our company. We diligently set about creating an executive team blended with senior and junior leaders to prepare for times like these. I am proud of the team we have built and feel it is time for me to move to the next stage of my life so they can directly set the future of FWM. I am of sound health and look forward to continuing to provide useful utility to the team. But mostly, I wish to focus on sharing my learning that has been facilitated by my association with FWM. There are so many incredible people that have been created by and drawn to FWM. I know my co-workers will continue to execute the mission of FWM. It is my plan to stay active representing FWM in the community on the many boards and councils to which I belong. I want to continue to mentor and share my knowledge with individuals who can benefit from my experience. And I wish to add an extra hand helping with customer relationships and other tasks that might lessen the burden on our busy staff. I wish to thank all of you for your friendship and love over the years. I treasure that more than you know. My intentions are to retire September 30, 2019. Keep saving lives! I have grown up at Fort Wayne Metals. I started as employee number 7 way back in in 1974. I have held a number of positions and always enjoyed the challenges of growing and managing a company that impacts peoples lives. The rewards of helping our customers develop life saving procedures has always been the focus of my career.
