Ensure this key control position’s fundamental responsibilities are executed to a high standard, while supporting executive peers, executing business strategy and maintaining the trust of regulatory bodies and the Board of Directors. Drive organizational changes in partnership with the executive team to enhance member service while ensuring the continuation of an effective value creating risk culture aligned with strategy. Lead the departments within the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management portfolio in addition to credit risk management and loss prevention. Actively provide an effective challenge to the Board of Directors, executive peers and organizational departments to enhance strategic success through risk awareness and risk opportunity.

Act as the business lead on the design and construction of +$60MM corporate headquarters. The role included leading the exploration, development and change toward an enterprise influencing workplace strategy which would accelerate the speed and agility of business transformation. The success of the project required leadership and intensive collaboration across multiple project teams, functional departments and external partners in order to deliver on long term strategically aligned outcomes.

Direct financial management functions and strategies including regulatory capital, liquidity, treasury, fixed income investing as well as interest rate simulation and forecasting. Oversaw asset syndication/securitizations, asset liability management, pricing tools and profitability analysis. Develop and administer product pricing and a variety of unique simulation models and initiatives. Collaborate in the development and review of board policy, operating policy and risk tolerance setting. Contribute to a variety of project teams as well as ALCO and the Price Steering Committee. Lead a group of skilled accounting and financial personnel to achieve corporate objectives. Interact with the Board of Directors and the executive on a variety of topics.

Led the due diligence, regulatory approval and contract follow-up on numerous corporate business acquisitions along with participating in the development of acquisition business cases. Led GAAP accounting for securitizations and the transition of accounting to IFRS. Oversaw the completion of the quarterly rolling forecast and annual budget including the delivery of the preliminary annual budget to executive leadership and board of directors. Administered asset liability management software and prepared various reporting and simulation models. Participated in numerous multi-department project teams covering areas of product development, regulatory matters and strategic initiatives. Led and developed staff in a variety of finance functions to meet departmental goals.
