About Mark M. O'Brien

My career has been filled with very diverse experiences, yet with a few constants: I love growing and revitalizing businesses and cultivating a culture of high performance as a servant leader.Playing sports and specifically baseball through college led me to working in the front office of professional sports teams; it was a natural fit. I’ve always been team oriented and my experience on the field transcended into business success in minor league baseball, with an NBA team and leading regional sports and event marketing for a major brewer. I also discovered that work could be a lot of fun, where memories are made and lifelong friendships are forged.My next chapter enabled me to become a stronger marketer, general manager and leader as I had the opportunity to play a significant role in the turnaround of multiple brands (e.g. Miller Lite & Icehouse) and revitalize other brands (e.g. Johnsonville & HoneyBaked). Developing and executing a clear brand vision, leveraging data to define actionable insights and working as a team enabled us to achieve our financial and EBITDA goals as we grew consumer trial and loyalty for each business. In 2015 I was approached to join Mizuno North America with the potential to be the successor to the president and CEO. Shortly after joining Mizuno, I was promoted to COO and in 2016 to president and CEO. During that period we re-wrote our brand and business playbook leading to a significant turnaround (e.g. +$30m). The team did a remarkable job in revitalizing the business as we teed up growth for years to come.Today, I serve LakePoints Sports; the nations premier youth sports destination. The sprawling 1,300 acre campus features state-of-the-art indoor & outdoor venues & amenities. LakePoint Sports is a growing development, conveniently located in Greater Atlanta.
